How To Be A COOL Peer Reviewer In-Person
Target Audience: certified Quality Matters (QM) reviewers; faculty interested in learning more about the QM peer review process; faculty considering taking the QM Peer Review Certification
Description: Participants will look at the Quality Matters (QM) Peer Review process, focusing on the QM Rubric, to include: standards, alignment, and scoring. Participants will gain experience in reading the Course Worksheet, writing helpful recommendations, and using annotations to support decisions in scoring the rubric. There will also include an activity to practice skills such as spotting alignment and writing helpful recommendations.
This session will cover the following topics:
- QM Underlying Principles
- QM Review Process
- Specific standards that address alignment
- Why annotations are important in the review process
- The Rubric point values
- How to write a helpful recommendation
